Barcelona – Dia 1

Ludwigsburg Palace Treasure – Bonsai

Bonsai is a Japanese art form using cultivation techniques to produce small trees in containers that mimic the shape and size of full size trees. The Japanese tradition dates back over a thousand years.

The purposes of bonsai are primarily contemplation for the viewer, and the pleasant exercise of effort and ingenuity for the grower. By contrast with other plant cultivation practices, bonsai is not intended for production of food or for medicine. Instead, bonsai practice focuses on long-term cultivation and shaping of one or more small trees growing in a container.

Bonsai uses cultivation techniques like pruning, root reduction, potting, defoliation, and grafting to produce small trees that mimic the shape and style of mature, full-size trees.

They are unique, beautiful and a healthy, relaxing hobby for those who love creativity and nature.

Medieval Legacy

The Ciudadela Post Medieval in my home town is one of my favourite places in the world. It represents me, from where I come and my history. Even when beside other big, nice, chic, expensive, architectural better castles this is a small one it has a unique atmosphere that you will not forget after taking a tour inside of it.

You can find history, art, science and mode all the way you look around. The people are diverse and unique. Places full with tourists. Beautiful, stylish girls and boys on the streets. Do I need to tell you more. Each time it is a joy to visit this city and makes you turn back as soon as you are away.

It is a town with a mix of german-french-italian influence. You can find from each style a piece in this place.

Bartholdi was born in Colmar, France, on 2 August 1834. He was born to a family of Italian and German Protestant heritage, with his family name Latinized from Barthold. Afterwards, Bartholdi moved with his mother and his older brother Jean-Charles to Paris, where another branch of their family resided. With the family often returning to spend long periods of time in Colmar, the family maintained ownership and visited their house in Alsace, which later became the Bartholdi Museum.

It is a colorful place with a good gastronomy and a lot of locals to choose from. In summer the city is full with tourists but even in these cold days you can bump into a lot of people from different places walking on the streets of Colmar.

German Florence

I had the opportunity these days to visit one of the nicest towns in Germany, in a medieval style, Heidelberg.

This town has so many things to offer beside the medieval look, oldest university, beautiful streets and crowd streets.

I havent imagined that it would like me so much even beside the strange whether that I experienced there on that day: wind, rain, snow… Welcome to Germany! :p

But beside of all I had a great time and I would truly recommend also for others, even for a day trip, to visit this little, warmly town.
